Clean rooms protect products that can’t tolerate contamination: microchips, implantable devices, sterile drugs and sensitive research. EnviroKleen has supported clean room technology and R&D facilities as part of our commercial work, and we bring the same disciplined approach to every controlled environment we serve.
Clean room cleaning isn’t janitorial work done more carefully. It’s a defined process that has to be performed the same way every time, by people who understand why each step exists. That’s why our low turnover and long-tenured crews matter so much here.
Our clean room approach
- Your procedures first. We clean to your SOPs, ISO 14644 classification and approved chemical and consumable lists.
- Gowning and entry discipline. Crews follow your gowning, airlock and material-transfer procedures for each zone.
- Controlled sequences. Top to bottom, clean to dirty, back to front toward the exit, with overlapping strokes and no re-contamination.
- Dedicated tools. Low-lint wipers, clean-room-compatible mops and equipment dedicated to each classification, never shared with general areas.
- Approved agents. Cleaning agents, disinfectants and rotations specified by your quality team.
- Documentation. Every session recorded by area, task and person, with inspection results in VEKTR.

Post-construction clean room cleaning
Before a new or renovated clean room can be certified, it needs a staged precision clean to remove construction particulate and residue from ceilings, walls, equipment and floors. Our post-construction crews already work alongside contractors with industrial vacuums, lifts and scaffolding. For clean rooms, we add controlled sequences and documentation so the space is ready for certification testing and turnover.
The team that cleans your clean room before certification already knows it when daily production begins.

Clean rooms along the Wasatch Front and beyond
Utah’s clean room footprint is growing, from medical-device manufacturers in South Jordan to semiconductor and tech facilities in Lehi. We’re also expanding into Boise and Phoenix, where semiconductor investment is driving demand for qualified clean room contractors.
Frequently asked questions
What is clean room cleaning?
Clean room cleaning is specialized cleaning that controls particles, residues and microbial contamination in rooms classified under ISO 14644. It uses gowning, low-lint consumables, approved cleaning agents and defined top-to-bottom, clean-to-dirty sequences, with documentation of every session.
Do you follow our facility's SOPs?
Yes. We clean to your written procedures, classification, gowning requirements and approved chemical list, and we document each session in the format your quality team needs.
Can you clean a new clean room before certification?
Yes. Post-construction clean room cleaning removes construction dust and residue in a controlled sequence so the room is ready for particle-count testing, certification and turnover.
Which industries use clean room cleaning?
Semiconductor manufacturing, medical-device and pharmaceutical production, biotechnology, aerospace, electronics and university or corporate research labs.
Does EnviroKleen provide clean room cleaning outside Utah?
We serve clean room facilities along Utah's Wasatch Front and are expanding into Boise, Idaho and Phoenix, Arizona, two of the country's fastest-growing semiconductor regions.
